Best Highlighter/Illuminator + Swatch Comparisons – Part 1, Aug 2016
This is part one of my new ‘Best/Favourite Highlighter + Highlighter Comparison’ Posts where I am going to be comparing my favourite highlighters by different brands and listing the best highlighting products.
I have to say, I loveeeeeeeee highlighter sooo much and I am definitely obsessed at the moment. Highlighter is trending soo much everywhere at the moment and for good reason. This is one of my favourite blog post’s to write for sure and I loveeeeee covering myself in it for swatches.
As always , I will do swatches and swatch comparisons, show you photos of each highlighter, along with providing weight, color and price comparisons as well as links to my related posts/full reviews and where to buy links about all the mentioned products.
For this part I compared and swatched five of my favourite highlighters including;
Moonstone (Pressed) by Becca vs Prosecco Pop by Becca vs Mary-Lou by The Balm vs #2 in the highlighter trio by BYS vs Butterscotch by Anastasia Beverly Hills (Sweets Glow Kit).
Moonstone Shimmering Skin Perfector (Pressed) by Becca
Moonstone Shimmering Skin Perfector (Pressed) by Becca is a ‘Pale Gold Champagne’ shade. It is an individual highlighter
Prosecco Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector (Pressed) by Becca
Prosecco Pop Shimmering Skin Perfector (Pressed) is a collaboration shade between Becca and Jaclyn Hill. Prosecco Pop is described as a ‘Light-Medium gold with warm and yellow undertones’. It is from the Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Face Palette and is not yet released as an individual (it will be soon I would say).
Mary Lou by The Balm
Mary Lou by the Balm is a popular highlighter. It is described as a ‘Iridescent Opal’ and ‘Honey Hued’ shade. You can either get this as an individual or as a palette with the other two popular The Balm highlighters.
#2 in Highlighter Trio by BYS
The #2 highlighter in the Highlighter Trio by BYS is a ‘Shimmery Light Gold’ shade. It is a part of the BYS Highlighting Trio Palette in Illuminate. For the price, it is so pigmented and I absolutely love this palette (links to my full review of all products at end).
