Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow Description + Review
The Gloss Bomb Lip-Gloss in the shade Fenty Glow is a glossy lip product that is described as a 'shimmering rose nude' shade, which accurately describes the color. The consistency of the gloss is like a thick type gel that is in the medium range and isn't as thick as some glosses, and not as thin as others.
The gloss is a tiny bit tacky and sticky, but it is nowhere near as sticky as other lip-glosses, and feels quite comfortable. Although it does feel comfortable, it does have that typical heavy feel that lip-glosses all tend to have, so it can feel slightly annoying but again, there are a lot of other glosses on the market that are way worse than this and I would describe the comfort as being in the medium range. Something I noticed about the gloss is that it's consistency is thin enough that when you rub your lips together, they don't stick to each other. They kind of just glide over each other without taking pigment away, which is a good thing because there is nothing worse than wearing a gloss that you are scared to move your face around in for fear that you will mess everything up.
The gloss has low staying power and doesn't stay on the lips like matte products do. The longevity is higher when you are not drinking/eating and are just going through the day, but as soon as you eat or drink the gloss comes straight off. This isn't an issue for me because i wasn't expecting it to last long given the fact it is a glossy product. Something I like about the gloss is that when you eat or drink, it just comes straight off and leaves the lips without leaving a mess. I would be confident enough to wear this out even if I couldn't check up through the day because I know it would just fade away without making any fuss.
The Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow has medium pigmentation, medium shine and medium shimmer levels. It is not fully clear and does have a tiny bit of opaque pigment to it, but it is sheer. It has an even ratio of shimmer/glitter, meaning it gives the lips a beautiful, tinted, glittery look. The even ratio of pigment to glitter makes it possible for it to suit all skin tones, and be universal like it is marketed to be. This is because the low pigmentation means that it tints and emphasises the natural lip color, meaning the shade will be unique to each skin tone based on natural lip color. The applicator in the gloss is a thick, doe-foot that works perfectly with the product and disperses product evenly in one swipe. I love doe-foot applicators in glosses because they make it so much easier to spread and I am deffo happy with it.
I absolutely love glossy shades like this because they plump the lips and don't make them look dehydrated like matte products do. You can wear the gloss on an everyday basis, when you want a natural look or with glamorous looks for nights out, it is event universal like that. Even though I love the shade and love the formula, it's not unique, so if you are not a fan of glossy lip products, I am not sure that this product will change your mind.
All in all, the Gloss Bomb in Fenty Glow is a winner for me!!!!
