My Beauty/Makeup Favourites September 2017
Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette
I got my Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette a week and a bit ago, and I have been playing with it NON-STOP. I am in the middle of a full review post where I talk about each shade in-depth and show you multiple looks, but let's just say, I have created so many pretty, different looks and this palette is a gem!
I meaaaan, just look at it!!!!!
Spectrum X Mean Girls Brush Set
At the start of the month I got my Spectrum X Mean Girls Brush Set, and just like always with Spectrum, the brush quality is amazing and I have been using the brushes every single day this month. The brushes wash well, and there is not one brush in the collection I won't get good use out of. The packing is simply stunning too. I absolutely love the pink theme, and each handle has a specific quote on it and you can tell a lot went into both the quality and the physical appearance of the brushes.
Fenty Beauty Highlighter in Trophy Wife
If you read my last post which was a full review, swatch and demo of this highlighter, you will know I am IN-LOVE. It is so unique and is nothing like anything I have in my collection, and it's certainly for people who like intense highlighters, which I AM ONE OF!! Trophy Wife is also an amazing eyeshadow, , meaning you can get so much use out of it and it's versatile.
Rihanna absolutely killed it with this highlighter and the formula and I am looking forward to more like this!!
Kylie Cosmetics June Bug Liquid Lipstick
This month I have been using the Kylie Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in June Bug so much. It is such a unique shade, and it can really make a makeup look POP!! The tone of this shade is a perfect mix between pastel purple and pink, and I think it's so unique and beautiful.
Morphe 35P Plum Palette
The Morphe 35P Plum Palette has been making it's way onto my makeup desk this month, and I have been playing with the purple shades in the palette. They are so pigmented, and work on the eyes amazingly. I love how there is so many shades of purple because when I am doing coloured eyeshadow, I like to layer shades on top of each other to create an intense effect, and the purple shades in this palette, as well as the other shades, go hand in hand and work really well together.
Purple eyeshadow is really in this season, and if you don't want to splurge on all the other purple toned palettes, this one is so much cheaper and comes with so many more shades and you will deffo get your money's worth.
ColourPop Gel Liner in Cry Baby + Show Me
Another two products that I have been using constantly this month is the ColourPop Eye Pencils in Cry Baby and Show Me. Cry baby is the pastel purple shade on my eyes below, and Show Me is the bronze shade above it. I really love coloured liner because it can seriously transform an eye look, and my blue eyes pop when they are surrounded by colour, and I have been grabbing these two shades so much. As you can see, they also go really good together on the lid, and complement each other.
Benefit Ka-Brow Pomade
I made the jump and finally decided to try more Benefit products, after finding my one true love (Benefit Gimmie Brow Tinted Gel), and I have been really loving the Ka-Brow gel/wax. I use this after I have went over my brows with Gimmie Brow, and I use it to connect everything up and fill it in. What I love the MOST about this brow pomade is that it comes with a little angled brush in the lid, and it's so handy to just get it out, do your brows and put it away without having to fumble around for a brow pencil, which happens to me constantly because I use them 24/7 (for brows, for eyeliner, etc).
This means I have like 6 brow brushes laying around, and they always seem to hide away int he last spot so I think the built in brush is soooooooooo handy and I am impressed!
